A Before and After Journey
Imagine your business being the talk of a journey through the expansive wilds of Mongolia—that's how the Conscious Leaders Quest (CLQ) journey began for us at Lab Creative.
It's not every day you get mentioned in such an exotic location, but that's precisely where the seed was planted. Ron, one of CLQ's co-founders, was on an adventure in Mongolia with Wayfinders when my friend and client Maia brought Lab Creative into the conversation.
This led Ron to reach out when he returned home, marking the start of a transformative branding adventure together!
Before: A Hastily Put Together Brand
Initially, Conscious Leaders Quest aimed to create a transformative leadership adventure in Costa Rica. Following the success of their first event, it became clear to the 3 co-founders – Ron Hill, Peter Katz and Michael Diettrich-Chastain – that their business had the potential to evolve beyond Costa Rica.
However, their branding—hastily put together—lacked the depth and narrative needed to fully capture this direction.
They needed a brand that fit their expanded vision AND would connect deeply with the founders and their desired audience.
The Journey to Brand Chemistry
We got to work uncovering and articulating the essence of their brand. We crafted with a tagline that promised "The journey of a lifetime," and a powerful brand position "Adventure within, harness collective wisdom, lead a business the world needs now."
Their brand personality traits—adventurous, bold, wise, among others—helped us design a visual identity full of meaning.
After: A Legacy Brand Comes to Life
The transformation was profound. The new logo we created for CLQ integrated symbols representing their transformative pillars: Connection, Ritual, Adventure, and Wisdom.
CLQ's rebranding has elevated their presence and aligned their brand with the transformative impact of their work. Today, they're not just a retreat in Costa Rica but a growing community and a series of leadership adventures, including their upcoming event in Bozeman, Montana.
Their leadership adventures are an invitation to leaders seeking real change—a chance to slow down, innovate, and discover the best version of themselves.
The existing CLQ website was well built and mainly needed an update to the messaging, logo, fonts and colours. We worked together with their website team to ensure a seamless process. Check out the site here.
We created social media graphics for instagram, Facebook, Linkedin and Youtube plus banners to reflect the new look and feel – elevating the brand and creating consistency.
